The Department of
Statistics and Information in Saudi Arabia, announced that the number of people
who will perform The Hajj Rituals this year, are more than three million, and
confirmed that it has taken all the needed security and health measures.
And showed, that the number of inside-pilgrims are about one million, four hundred thousand, most of them foreign workers in the Kingdom. The rest of the pilgrims are from Arab and Islamic countries as well as from foreign countries in which citizens convert to Islam, including the Russian Federation, where this year's number for it is 16.4 thousand pilgrims, including 150 pilgrims from Crimea, which joined Russia in March last year.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has taken security and healthy measures of
the pilgrims during their Hajj, around the Kingdom. Including denying the visas from three African countries are, Liberia, Guinea
and Sierra Leone, due to the spread of an epidemic fever "Ebola" in
them. And
it also set up 15 new health centers at all the ports of entry to the Kingdom.
The Ministry of Health also recommended the older people who suffer from
chronic diseases and HIV and malignant tumors, pregnant women and children to
postpone the Hajj and Umrah this year, for their personal safety.
Ministry of Health also established a healthy quarries to isolate
infectious diseases, and 25 hospitals were prepared to serve the pilgrims, which
are spread over different areas, and health centers for emergencies on the
bridge, and other measures to provide necessary medical services to all
pilgrims.
It also required, to all who wish to perform Hajj this year, vaccination against meningitis, and the
seasonal flu vaccine. However, it focused on "Ebola" fever and Corona
and yellow fever, pointing to the need to provide a certificate of vaccination
against these diseases matching international regulations before coming to the
Kingdom.
